I bought a 34 ford sedan in 1970 and I started rebuilding it and i spent about 4 years to finish it.
In 1975 i entered the car at the Sydney Rod Show and people crowded around the car with many comments heard concerning the quality of the car and the interior with the diamond studded velvet.
Motor is side valve v8 with triple carbs, manual box and rear differential Columbia two speed.
It took out top interior top sedan
My second car is a model a roadster which was at Narrandera in 1977, I still have those cars today
Back in those early years I entered as many car shows as I could including Newcastle, Bankstown and other Sydney events and I had the only turntable with mirrors under the car so people could just stand in one place and see the whole car.
The Early Ford Street Rod Club was honoured to have State Director Gary Stanley attend our March meeting to present John with his ASRF Legends Award.
John has been recognized for the top quality rods and customs he has built in over 50 years of hot rodding.
