I started to design A Roadster Pick Up at 15 years old. My first club was the Road Gents, before moving on to the Bent 8’s, from there I joined Sydney City Roadsters – a club of only 4 members. I also spent time at Club 48 when I worked for Diablo Motors. Between the Bent Eights and Club 48
I was a member of FA Roadsters ( NSW) before ending up at Sydney Limited.

Car wise a lot of long time rodders will remember Tweety Pie – a 1923 Ford T bucket (which now lives in Victoria). A Model A Tudor, 46 Ford Coupe and a 1935 Ford Tourer are some of the rides from the Griffos garage. Currently I own a 33 Victoria. All my cars were meant to be driven and I won the Go-Whoa at the first Nationals in 1973.I was runner up in 1975 to long time friend Alby Wheeler (RIP). At the 2013 Nationals my tourer was selected as Top Tourer.

Away from cars, I also played with boats – of the quick variety. I ran in the annual bridge to bridge race several times.

At one stage I was co-owner of Colonial Chassis Works – and provided chassis’s for a number of street rodders at the time. Colonial had a profile cutter and many brackets were made for lots of rodders around the country. This is where several space frames were built for Jim Suttar and Rob Millburn.
Kevin also gave back to rodding as a long time Steward for New South Wales. He is a well known rodder respected by many in this hobby we all enjoy.
